The Council discusses all planning consultations as part of the regular council meetings. The Parish Council is a statutory consultee, and make a recommendation only to the planning authority, South Oxfordshire District Council. Each planning application is assigned to a Councillor to write a summary and proposed response which is then debated by the Council prior to a decision being made. When forming the response, we consider local precedent; our neighbourhood plan policies; local & national planning policies.
Please note: It is South Oxfordshire District Council who makes the final decision on all planning applications in our parish.
